Momma J sent me a great e-mail today. In it, she told me how she discovered teething Baby G liked his bottles warmed up instead of at room temperature.
In the past few days, he’s not been eating a lot during the day. Normally when he and Momma J are out on the town, she feeds him a bottle that is at room temperature and shaken up, which in the past he didn’t mind. But now that he is beginning to teeth, he cries when you give him a bottle that isn’t warmed up.
It was a great relief to us both that she discovered it because we were a little worried he wasn’t chubbing up as much as he had been in the past. Also, she is away next week in Hong Kong, so knowing what I need to do to make sure he gets his full daytime meals in took away some of the worry.
When I was thinking about the e-mail Momma J had sent on my way home from work today, I realized how great it was to be sharing this information. I can’t imagine what it’s like for people who don’t have a partner who they can discuss these simple things with. I find it amazing that single parents, who don’t have anyone else are able to manage. Because even though he’s an easy baby to take care of and understand, it is great to have someone else to bounce your ideas, thoughts and fears off of.
