Maestro makes way for Malicious

How can you take a short, pudgy rapper who calls himself Malicious seriously? In his new video, he looks like he would have trouble climbing up in the Hummer he dances in front of in his hardcore camouflage gear.

I’m sure like many of the second-rate Canadian “artists” that make their way onto MuchMusic and our crappy Top 40 radio stations, this fella has been given some grant money to make a video. Sadly, the CRTC requires these people be played to preserve Canadian culture, but isn’t this stuff just a really poor imitation of a piece of American culture that jumped the shark when Jay-Z came out of retirement?

If my kid brings this stuff in the future I’m going to have to work hard to keep down the giggles. It’s just too bad to take seriously.
