Vancouver Remembrance Day photos

November 11, 2007

Here’s a beautiful photo set of Remembrance Day in Vancouver. My grandfather fought in Italy in WWII. Today always reminds me of the times I used to press him for war stories. He would always change the subject. Now that I’m older, I understand why. Hopefully, we will stop going to war one day.

B.C. Bud causing problems in Washington State

November 11, 2007

Law enforcement agencies in Washington State are also reporting violence related to B.C. Bud. Apparently grow-ops linked to B.C. crime organizations are popping up across the border, and gangland murders have followed according to an article in today’s Province.

I agree that legalization may be a solution, but people need to think of other ways they can help curb the violence first. Not buying pot from criminals and gangs would be a good first step. Without a market, business dwindles and dies. There has been a trend in the world to not buy so-called “blood diamonds” in Africa, so why don’t people take the same stance on B.C. Bud? If people grow their own or buy from “friends” not linked to organized crime, it will take away the incentive to grow and sell it.
