This article symbolizes what the Canadian Conservative party is all about: distrust of outsiders and provincialism.
I’m pretty sure a lot of Canadians are duel citizens: I know I am. By saying you don’t trust someone to lead the country or a Canadian political party because they happen to have another citizenship, you’re living 50 or 60 years in the past.
We live in a global economy, and the more that people mix and match, the better we can come to understand one another.
I’m pretty sure Mr. Dion will serve Canada well in the coming months and years. He has in the past and he’s held French citizenship for a few years now.
I know if the Conservatives gain a majority in the next election, I will seriously consider using my second citizenship to leave until the electorate comes to its senses. I really don’t want my son to grow up in the Canada they envision.

The video posts below are something I’ve wanted to try for awhile. With some time of from work, I was able to take some time to do some YouTubing.
I must say it’s really great to have these technologies at our fingertips these days. I was able to send these videos to my Ma in PG and Momma J’s parents in Hong Kong.
And best of all, they are not sitting on our harddrive eating up space. It’s also nice to be doing something besides reading, watching TV, boiling bottles or burping the little dude.

Environmentalists speak usually argue for conservation and an entire rethink of the way we live in order to preserve the planet for future generations, so I found it interesting that they would argue we need to explore beyond earth in order to “preserve the species”.
As mentioned before I don’t believe every weather-related incident is related to global warning, but we certainly need to clean up our act in the first world to ensure there isn’t a huge environmental disaster in the near future.
Even though space exploration is interesting and probably necessary, I don’t think we should abandon hope on earth yet. And the last thing other habitable planets in the solar system need is a bunch of humans with bad habits to show up and start destroying things.

My brother bought us this cover for the little guy’s car seat/buggy carrier to protect him from the cold and Toronto Maple Leafs fans.

It’s not really our style, but on a practical side we’re finding it quiet useful on these chilly winter days.
If you own a similar car seat I suggest getting one of these, but go for a neutral colour and negate the team logo if you don’t want to people to comment on it.
I encountered a bit of what Momma J has been telling me about today when I was pushing him around some stores while doing some Christmas shopping. A cashier even yelled out “Go Canucks Go” as we walked away with our Christmas purchases.
The funniest remarks came during one of Momma J’s visits to the local liquor store where they listen to the games over the load speakers during work. One of the guys working there were saying, “hey, he’s asleep just like the Canucks were last night.”
Not being a hockey fan, Momma J didn’t know how to respond. She doesn’t watch or care much about the games, so she finds this kind of attention a little embarrassing.
